Asking For Help
The first stanza (stave) is repeated as the
chorus (burden) of the song.
Eira, healing, hand of the Gods
Look from Asgard, and see we men
Our weakness, our illness
Our strengths and, good worthiness
Life for us is, fraught with ordeal
Life for us is, fraught with peril
Life for us is, fraught with bad luck
Life for us is, fraught with broke weal
Sometimes it seems, that Wealth and Health
Evade our grasp, escape our grip
That Weave of Web, is rough and torn
That weft and woof, of fate is weak
- Burden-
Within our, Troth with the Gods
We as humans, place our trust
That the Holy, will see us and
Smile bright on, our ways and means
And in the trust, we place in Gods
Eira does shine, as hopeful friend
To ease our, ills, hurts, and pains
To ease our, fear and despair
- Burden -
When a loved one, is stricken ill
Our hearts do, jump into throat
We fret and pace, we wonder why
Such a thing should, cross our path
But troth does give, us many friends
Which come to side, and lend their strength
Keep us upright, when knees are weak
Bolster spirits, when they would sag
- Burden -
But after all, tumult is gone
And health is good, returned to strength
We sigh in joy, we weep for good
Give praise to Gods, for help in life
Life for us is, fraught with ordeal
Life for us is, fraught with peril
Life for us is, fraught with bad luck
Life for us is, fraught with broke weal
