An Offered Divine Kill
Here I am, a-hanging here, dangling while I die.
Staring down in darkness, as around my ravens fly.
My sacrificed god-body, its wounds still dripping red;
Suspended here I'm waiting for the moment when I'm dead.
Then and only then, I think, will I know all to heed
That one must both have lived and died for his soul to be freed.
Upon the wisdom of it all, the universe's will,
My mind and body hanging here, an offered divine kill.
