Goldenway

I navigate with the daughter of night
On the wintry-deep to wet my quill,
and fill my feathered mind in mist-time
so I may translate, relate and associate
with ancestral skalds who flow through
my internal streams of sinew and sight.

Constant waves
of metre and might
morph visuals
into metaphorical delight

Underneath brow-stars they saturate
these deep runes of mystical weight
until they breach the tiller of the ship
spill their salty song from the hold
and mold the winds of Bragi's breath
into a periphrasis of powerful insight.
