Mani's Whispers

You wax and you wane, you shine and you fade,
but you are always there. Your eyes watch over us,
Your presence tangible in warm darkness of the night.

Cascading roar of the water disturbs the silence, the stillness -
all consuming fog touches us gently, its silky fingers rampaging over us,
overflowing compassion. Your shine falls from the sky,
Your knowing and Your wisdom - Your electrical presence.

Mani, I hear Your whispers when everything else sleeps -
I cherish the loneliness that the night brings, I cling to the hope that You provide -
Your understanding and cylindrical movements of the Moon,
Your adventure through all-consuming darkness.
Shine on my path, lead me and let me serve You.

Mani's whispers speak of night, of the hidden beauty
that lies all around us. Open your eyes and see,
lift your fingers and touch - the secret of the darkness,
the sight that fades and intensifies.
