Memorial Day Prayer
Hail to our honored dead,
men and women who fought and died
so that we might have a better life;
men and women who fought and died
so that we wouldn’t have to.
Hail to our soldiers, our warriors,
Hail to our military doctors and nurses,
Hail to all those who died under fire,
or from the wounds that combat brings.
Hail to all those who served their time
in the House of War.
You are remembered.
You are honored.
You are celebrated with pride.
May you feast well in the halls of your ancestors.
Hail our military dead.
