Midsummer Blessing

Hail to Delling and Day--at sunlight's apex of length,
Sunna's highest stead--thewful tide of Sigil's strength.

Symphonies of birdsong--surround us from on high,
Fields full of flowers--an altar of Earth and Sky.

Gathered we are again--extolling Midsummer's might,
Honoring those we hold high--Jera's reward for right.

Our goodwill given--to Gods and Goddesses all,
A few of our Eldest Kin--we now name and call.

Woden--Light/dark Drighten--the Rune-lord of wise ways,
Thy path an awesome paragon--throughout all days.

Tyr--One-hand Holy Daysman--of disputes and deeds,
Ay shall He be hight--Mediator of Just Meeds.

Balder--The bold and bright Son-god--His light shall lead,
Frimest stance for Frith-right--be our Wise Warrior's rede.

Frigg--Queen of Asgarth--Her house-keys hold concord's wealth,
She wards us well--with gifts of harmony and health.

Idunn--Our Guardian Goddess--of light and life,
EI-Apples kept secure--by Bragi's steadfast wife.

Thor--Thy Thunder-oath avows--Thy troth to Asgarth's Kin,
Sig-praise to the Protector--of Midgarth and Men.

Freya--As Syr Ye come--Sorceress and Sun-bride,
A Beauty astride Battle-Swine--ever shall She ride.

Frey--Holy Horned-god--Frodhi of earthly Ar-fruit,
Generous were Ing's gifts--regal is Thy repute.

Woden, Tyr, Balder, Frigg, Idunn, Thor, Freya, Frey,
All shall ay abide and guide--within us They shall stay.

An Eye pierces from Ygg's Tree--an Eye dwells within the Well,
Our Wih-troth to Kin was seen--as the skalds again shall tell.

By Fire and Ice, by Water and Wind, by Well and Tree,
By Earth and Sky, by Moon and Sun, So It Ay Shall Be!
