Paean

Loki,
to me You have been
a God of kindness.

Skytreader,
You have walked with me
through worlds both terrible and bright.

Husband of Sigyn,
You poured blessings into my hands
before I even knew Your name.

Breaker of Worlds,
You have made me humble
and taught me the wisdom of destruction.

Mother of Witches,
You gave me a mother,
a debt I can never repay.

Husband of Angurboda,
You nourished me
and paved the way for Odin.

Flame Hair,
You have given me joy,
even in the midst of the most painful lessons.

God of Magicians
You have taught me
the skill of making and unmaking.

For all of these things and more,
to every name and every facet of Your being,
those by which I have known You
and those by which You know Yourself,
I am grateful.
Hail Loki,
always and everywhere,
from the innermost halls of my heart.
