Rán and Aegir
I hail the Goddess of the ocean depths,
Rán, Mistress of wealth and hidden
secrets.
I honor You for the tumult and danger You bring.
I honor the personal
clarity You bestow,
with the painful precision of a harpoon sinking into the
flesh.
I honor You, for Your memory is long;
You see those things we mortals would
forget,
and You hold fast to what is Yours.
I hail You, Rán, Goddess of the Seven
Seas,
and ask for Your mercy.
I hail, Aegir, God of the Northern Ocean.
I hail You
for Your bounty,
for Your generosity, forYour wisdom.
I celebrate the wealth and
mystery of Your watery realm.
I hail Your skill, delight of the Gods.
I hail Your
hospitality,
which is celebrated in the halls of Asgard.
I hail You, Mighty
Aegir,
Bold Brewer of the Gods.
