Ratatosk

I am Ratatosk, and Yggdrasil is my home.
I speak with eagles, serpents and Aesir.
I am Ratatosk: from top to bottom I roam.

I listen well, and much gossip I hear.
I take messages to all of the worlds.
I speak with eagles, serpents and Aesir.

I stir up Nidhogg in the underworld,
so that he gnaws roots and shakes the whole tree.
I take messages to all of the worlds.

Being a squirrel makes me the most free
to disturb Nidhogg with tales out of school.
so that he gnaws roots and shakes the whole tree.

The Eagle is fun, too, but he’s no fool.
The deer are too dull as they eat the leaves
to disturb Nidhogg with tales out of school.

The Aesir are rowdy, and some are thieves.
The deer are too dull as they eat the leaves.
I am Ratatosk and Yggdrasil is my home.
I am Ratatosk: from top to bottom I roam.
