Song to Skadi

Hail to Skadi, courageous shield-maiden

Fierce and terrible frost-etinwoman

She viciously stormed and cut down the Aesir

A perilous deed, yet strong in battle

Weregild demanded, for Thjazi´s killer

She would avenge by hereditary right

Hail to Skadi, warriors sing

Hail to Skadi, we celebrate

Hail to Skadi, battle-bold

Dwell with us as it were days of old.
