The Rhine Maidens

I dance within deep waters
in waves that shimmer and shine.
Sorrow dwelling with my sisters;
upon the river of the Rhine.
In the dark and murky depths;
a gift of gold we did guard.
The bane of Fafnir forged;
from the cursed hoard.
It is long since lost;
stolen from our midst.
As we languish here in longing;
embraced by water's kiss.
