Vatn Dansari (The Water Dancer)

In Aegir’s palms she
pirouettes under Måni's light,
reaching her aqueous fingers
up toward the golden sparks
of night until the dance descends
to the skerry’s beach of basalt
below where Kólga will lay
her head and cool the cradle
of rocks that sit between me
and the depths of the unseen.
Feeling her breath on breeze
I seal a kiss in a phial of praise
and sail this message across sea
hoping she will waltz with me,
and saturate sands of serenity.
