~ Non-Norse Poetry by me ~

Drink

Vermouth is what soaks my brain
Trying to forget again;
To wash the bitter tang away,
The taste of of yester- and today.

This liquor is a substitute,
Replacement for cerebral fluid,
Till, merged, the causer of my sorrow
Feels fit to face another morrow.
