~ Non-Norse poetry by me ~
Ogham Grove
Ash of world and Oak of might,
Elder tree and Birch so bright,
Blackthorn with the berries blue,
Alder´s brook and ancient Yew,
Weeping Willow, Rowan trees,
Poplar tall and swaying Reeds,
Holly, Heather, Hawthorn fair,
Yellow Furze and Silver Fir,
Climbing Ivy, winding Vine,
Apple, Hazel, all are mine.

Notes:
1) Ogham: the old celtic alphabet, consisting of 20 letters.
Each letter name is also a word denoting a tree species. Hence,
"grove" :-) .
2) This was published in a slightly different version under
a former pseudonym of mine in "An Tribhis Mor", a Celtic reconstructionist
journal.
