Come Away to the Skies                 Come Away to the Skies MP3 (1,3 MB)
Tune: "Exultation"                                       Exultation Midi (6 KB)
(Song version; best for mixed choir.)         Exultation sheet music, full score

Come away to the skies,
all ye slain ones, arise,
all of Odinīs and all that are lost!
To the worldīs end we ride
with the Wild Hunt tonight.
Let us join with the Furious Host!

Both the living and dead
now are riding ahead,
we rejoice in the storm and the frost.
When you hear the hooves ring,
luck or doom we will bring,
give a blessing that comes with a cost.

Through the snow and the chill
we are hunting to kill,
all ye mortals who stray now, beware!
May the fields we pass here
bear rich fruit the next year!
Bring fertility to cattle and mare!

We all follow the One
who leads onward and on,
in his wake our ecstasy churns.
To the hunt, to the chase,
to the furious race--
with His rage and with rapture we burn!

Come away to the skies,
all ye slain ones, arise,
all of Odinīs and all that are lost!
To the worldīs end we ride
with the Wild Hunt tonight.
Come and join with the Furious Host!

Come Away to the Skies
(Poem version)

Come away to the skies,
ye slain ones, arise,
all of Odinīs and all that are lost!
To the worldīs end we ride
with the Wild Hunt tonight.
Letīs join with the Furious Host!

Both the living and dead
now are riding ahead,
we rejoice in the storm and the frost.
When you hear the hooves ring,
luck or doom we will bring,
give a blessing that comes with a cost.

Through the snow and the chill
we are hunting to kill,
all mortals who stray now, beware!
May the fields we pass here
be fruitful next year!
May fertile be cattle and mare!

We all follow the One
who leads onward and on,
in his wake our ecstasy churns.
To the hunt, to the chase,
to the furious race--
with rage and with rapture we burn!

Come away to the skies,
ye slain ones, arise,
all of Odinīs and all that are lost!
To the worldīs end we ride
with the Wild Hunt tonight.
Come join the Furious Host!
