New Year's Song                              New Year's Song
Tune: Greensleeves, trad.

The old year ends, the new is born,
The Nornir's wheel keeps spinning,
Come friends, and let us a raise a horn
To the New Year now beginning.

Sing, sing to the Gods and Godesses!
Fireworks set the skies alight.
Sing, sing for the Aesir all,
Who bless us this New Year's night.

Come round the hearth, be of good cheer,
Let's watch the hands of the clock go round,
With friends and family far and near
We wait for the midnight chime's sound.

Sing, sing to the Gods and Godesses!
Share a moment of pure delight.
Sing, sing for the Aesir all,
United this New Year's night.

It's midnight! Cheers! The glasses clink!
The countdown's finished, it's twelve at last.
Let's toast, let's boast, and let us drink
To the present and future and past.

Sing, sing to the Gods and Godesses!
Fireworks set the skies alight.
Sing, sing for the Aesir all,
Who bless us this New Year's night.
