~ Poetry by me ~

One Life                               One Life MP3

1.
What´s a drop within the Well?
What is one leaf upon the Tree?
What´s a sigh lost in the stormwind,
One more rune of mystery?

Just this one life to live
One single soul to give
One chance to cast my spark
Into the dark.

One call that lures my mind
One goal that leads me blind
One life to wear your mark
Facing the dark.

2.
What´s one wyrd in all the Worlds?
What is one skein within the Web?
To follow you, how far to go, and
How much time to pay my debt?

One fight to prove my grit
One game to show my wit
One shot to make my mark
Before the dark.

One tale to tell my deeds
One fruit to bear my seeds
One sip of poets' mead
Then comes the dark.

3.
Ravens calling, Gallow´s wind gust
Shadows falling, Doubt and trust.
One decision, Dancing stardust
One clear vision, Final thrust.

One breath to yield to you
One heart to pierce me through
One day to pay my due
Here in the dark.

Nothing more left to say
I come, your willing prey
Your name to lead my way
Beyond the dark.
