Almighty Frey

Almighty Freyr, since first the sun
was set in the sky, Sol's fair cargo,
the earth has given growth to all;
and since your kindred came to Asgard,
son of Nerthus, Skirnir's mentor,
the children of Heimdall have harvest aplenty.

Let all give hail to Horn's fair lord,
to Beli's bane and the boy of Njordhr.

Give worth to the battle-boar,
warder of helmets,
swordless shield-dancer,
brings us safe through Hild's tumult.

Give hail to the holder of the home of the light-elves,
tooth-gift of Gods, who gladdens all of heaven.

The wain of the wise youth waxes with harvest -
let friends of Fro-Ing make free with his bounty.
