Altar Ring's Fire
Oathring of bronze, upon the Hórgr
So still, so bright, it waits for Words
Its fiery shine, lights up the Stall
And lends it weight to Blót and Vow
Oath Jarl Old, looks on its gleam
And sees all Vows, by its gold light
He nods and thinks, remembers all
And judges men, by well-kept Word
By firelight, two men stride forth
To lay their hands, and say their Words
Before Uller, and on His Ring
A Holy Oath, within the Well
Grave words roll out, from one, then friend
Of Kinship tie, and Deeds to do
They Speak and Drink, and spill to Him
And wet the Ring, in rightful way
They turn and stride, to get their Names
To stay by side, of one good friend
And strive through years, and fight through fears
To make good their, Boast to Oath Os
The years pass by, and Words stay True
Both Men are old, and have good Wealth
And Family, and bright, good Fame
A goodly Name, and Luck of Wyrd
Now snowy maned and halt of limb
The two friends go, into the Hof
And take up Ring, speak words again
And breathe their last, take Helroad Walk
Oathring of bronze, upon the Hórgr
So still, so bright, it waits for Words
Its fiery shine, lights up the Stall
And lends it weight to Blót and Vow
