Beneath a Mighty Oak
Beneath a mighty oak
Beside a babbling brook
Searching under the cloak
For things my soul forsook
Green grass, blue sky, warm ground
Glowing breath, mind unwound
Green grass, blue sky, warm ground
Mighty tree, silver well
Midst beauty and midst sound
A heaven bridge and cry of harp
The deeds I see now done
Age of heroes, darkness comes
Within the tree I fare
To sip from the deep well
I watch the slumbered scare
From a cross that is fell
The old world passes by
New fruit bears on the tree
Fruit with the seed of old
From the seed, a mighty oak
Beneath a mighty oak
Beside a babbling brook
Searching under the cloak
For things my soul forsook
Ancient kings, rusty blades
Broken crowns, scops old lays
Ancient kings, rusty blades
Fainings true, the Gods' bold bedes
Proud blood twig now remade
In the age of wolf and flame
Golden crown rises anew
Come the age of shimmering dew
Rooted deep yet still young
Renewed tree, olden tongue
Wisdom true, reclaimed by we
Of stout heart and vision free
Raise in voice, tribes of old
Now reborn a faith so bold
Holy Gods wake and sing
Holy elves dance and swing
Beneath a mighty oak
Beside a babbling brook
Searching under the cloak
For things my soul forsook
Ancient kings, rusty blades
Broken crowns, scops old lays
Ancient kings, rusty blades
Fainings true, the Gods' bold bedes
Proud blood twig now remade
In the age of wolf and flame
Golden crown rises anew
Come the age of shimmering dew
