Dellingr: Dawn's Early Light

You take away the darkest of night.
You are the one I see at first light.
You, Great Dellingr, broaden my sight.
You are the God who shines so bright.

Your colors vary, I can't say why.
Red, blue, or grey you paint the sky.
Sometimes so dark the clouds they cry.
Sometimes so beautiful, they make me sigh.

Dellingr, great shining God of the morning begun.
Your battle against darkness you always have won.
Your boy, Dagr, He brings me the warmth of the Sun.
And stays with me until the daylight is done.

Dellingr, great Dellingr, please come to me.
Give me your guiding light that I might see.
With you each morning I am longing to be.
Dellingr, great Dellingr, please set me free!
