Einherjar's Song

We ride out on these fields of death
Out on to Vigrid's plain
To seething pain, no victory!
Theres nothing we shall gain!
All shall be lost upon this day
So ruled by dark and death
Yet we shall never rue the way
We offer our last breath!
A sacrifice for what will come
The halls of Gimlé there
Upon a new Earth with no pain
Towards this new Sun we'll stare
As we hold our swords up high
And hail those who've died
For the Asa gods we'll weep
And sing the songs they cried
As they charged out towards their foes
Swinging divine steel
Ripping through their Jotun-flesh
The Earth enjoys a meal
Of giant's blood, so bittersweet
Like iron in the veins
Like lions pouncing on their prey
The gods bloody their manes
So we'll fight on upon this day
The day that all will die
The day of which we've waited for
And pondered towards the sky
