Falcon Dream
1st stave (stanza) repeated as the Burden (chorus) of each song.
Freya, See-er, Falcon-garbed One
Wondrous Beauty, Lady of Life
Quickening that, which helps the weal
We your children, love and thank you
On falcon's wings, she rides the winds
O'erseeing Life's, Fruitful increase
Kin of the Earth, Lover of All
Her guidance is, joyful and strong
Sometimes it seems, that fly I must
And Falcon Cloak, is my true garb
Then like a bird, my soul will soar
To seek for dreams, within the Well
- Burden –
Overcast day, specks in the mist
Aimfully dance, seen, then unseen
Thinnish clouds shift, shapes become clear
Falcons they are, warband on high
Their piercing cries, faintly I hear
Calling to me, bid that I fly
Soaring with them, above the world
Witness their ways, as one of them
- Burden -
Long is the day, I spend on high
Learning to be, Kin within Band
Fearlessly dive, striking at prey
Rising again, fully alive
Day becomes night, Falcons have changed
Strong and tall maids, riding sky steeds
Bursting through smoke, o'er battlefields
Seeking for Those, Chosen to be
- Burden -
Half of the Slain, are Hers to keep
Against the End, which comes to all
Yet it is known, End is not End
Life will arise, healthy and whole
On falcon's wings, she rides the winds
O'erseeing Life's, Fruitful increase
Kin of the Earth, Lover of All
Her guidance is, joyful and strong
