Folk Ward
Dark of mien, is Yewborne One
Grimly purposed, in His travels
Striding dark ways, twixt In and Out
He keeps watch well, so ill won't pass
Headstrong, Trueheart, Ranging Rover
Wards well the folk, garth, hearth and weal
Is rarely seen, nor oft boasted
Though some well know, His worth and skill
Uller, Bright One, treading harmroad
Swift and silent, surely striking
Utan Ettin, death thorn's target
Evildoers, deeds are ended
Unknown battles, unseen struggles
Through all of them, Wayfarer wins
Dawntime Os of, Elder Clanfolk
He rode The End, went beyond it
Ęsir, Vanir, Younger Holies
Little notice, Ymir's Goodson
Though, the Odhinn, entrusts Highseat
When He travels, to his uncle
To walk along, Clan Warder's road
Through Utangard, or amongst Kin
Step must be light, and sure and swift
With steady hand, and piercing eye
One who would walk, Clan Warder's road
And face down dread, beat back ill weal
Must have stout heart, and iron will
Strong thews, deft mind, sharp weapons true
What can we learn, from Holy One
What thoughts can we, take from His tales
To be known as, Wealminder bold
One who gives all, for good of Folk
As Uller seeks to ward the weal
And stave off ill, with steadfastness
To move unseen, with stealth and speed
This is a test, which must be met
As Bow Lord bright, does stalk the woods
He slays strong beasts, to gain good meat
To feed the folk, so hunger dies
We meet this goal, so kin survive
As Oath Lord grim, does hear all words
Which forge a hold, and feed the well
One must pay heed, to words one speaks
For Trust and Worth, will build a Name
As Winter King, when times are lean
The gifts he gives are few and small
Wisdom to stretch meat, drink and bread
Knowledge of how, to brave the snows
As Talespinner, by fireside
The Huntsman sings, in worthy words
Of search for prey, and taking life
Of skills one needs, to do this deed
In all of this and something more
The Ullerfolk through all the years
Remain apart, remain a part
Of garth and folk, of frith and weal
Dark of mien, is Yewborne One
Grimly purposed, in His travels
Striding dark ways, twixt In and Out
He keeps watch well, so ill won't pass
Headstrong, Trueheart, Ranging Rover
Wards well the folk, garth, hearth and weal
Is rarely seen, nor oft boasted
Though some well know, His worth and skill
