Green

The midday sun beats down through the clouds over these hills
Wandering and wondering, remembering dreams I saw killed
I hear the sound of marching as I gird myself for war
Waiting for the moment when we learn what is in store
Waiting for the moment when we keep the oaths we swore

I have learned my history
And I know who I am
I will walk the path of ice
With a Stags Horn in each hand

I have walked in fields fallow that in times gone were green
I have danced upon a shore that no man else has seen
I once had a sword but I left it high upon the tor
To put a smile on the lips of the one that I fight for
And when the moment comes, I will keep the oaths I swore

I have learned my history
And I know who I am
I will walk the path of ice
With a Stags Horn in each hand

And as the ravens fly onward
And the fire sweeps the land
I’ll charge into the fray
With a stag horn in each hand
