Folk-friend true
So many great deeds
We’ve heard about you
Mighty and fearless
A champion tall
And slayer of those
Who threaten us all
But more than strength
You most surely possess
You’ve a quick wit too
When put to the test
You outsmarted poor Alvis
When he spoke lore so true
I know that I’ll never
Underestimate you
There’s much more to you
Than given credit for
So hail to you Thor
Great-god of thunder
Hammer-hurling defender
Of the gods and of men

Wise-one disguised
