Hammer of Bronze

I want to build me a cabin at the edge of the wood
With a warm fire every evening
And wear me a Hammer of Bronze 'round my neck
To keep the frost giants from reaching
Into my world from out of the next
May Thunder and Lightning be on their backs
And away from my cabin at the edge of the wood
And warm fire every evening

From the Gods to the Earth
From the Earth up to man
Flows a good gift for the sharing
From man to the Earth
From the Earth to the Gods
A gift for a gift remembered
I'll pour out some mead
On a stone on the ground
To share with the Gods
And those gathered around
From the Gods to the Earth
From the Earth up to man
A good gift for the sharing

And I'll pour out some mead
On an alter of stone
In a wood in a grove
In a clearing
And lift a horn to the Folk
Of my blood and my bone
The line back to the beginning
And I'll toast their deeds
And I'll toast their names
Ask for good rede
Good might and good main
I'll pour out some mead
On an alter of stone
In a wood
In a grove
In a clearing

I want to build me a cabin at the edge of the wood
With a warm fire every evening
And wear me a Hammer of Bronze 'round my neck
To keep the frost giants from reaching
Into my world from out of the next
May Thunder and Lightning be on their backs
And away from my cabin at the edge of the wood
And warm fire every evening
