In Praise of Frey

We call out in praise of Frey
As summer rolls, relentless, on its way
the grass goes golden day to day
falling fast under Autumn's sway
and even at night the warmth will stay
holding the heat built in the day
baking the black soil to dusty grey
ripening for harvest the fields of hay
and so we thank the frithful Lord each day
may he grant this abundance shall stay
through the winter - come what may
we call out in praise of Frey!
