Invocation to Hrethe

Hail, herald of the spring,
Battler against the cold of winter!
Hail, warrior goddess with flying hair
And sword lifted against
The razor-sharp winds!
Hail, Lady whose arrows
Shoot down the snowflakes,
And the clouds of rain!
Hail, Lady who is always victorious!
May we take hope from your courage
That the warmth shall come again
In the fire of your wake
And the sheen of your blade.
