Thunderer

Thor, thou great protector god,
Thou hallower of food and bride
In goat drawn chariot do you ride.
Rolling thunder pours from the wheels
Sounding loud as it´s rolling, pops and peals.
While you ply torrential, pounding rain,
The lightning cracks as your goats strain
Dragging your might across and by
O’er clouds of black and blue bruised sky.
That elemental soddening dirge
Stretching o’er town and wilderness
Of rain to cleanse and storm to purge.
