~ Poetry by me ~

Once in a Dream

Once in a dream appeared to me
a figure grim and gaunt;
the questions that this figure asked
my waking days still haunt.

My whole life seemed a dream to me,
this dream a life unwont;
and in the silence whispered he:
"Who are you? What do you want?"

Meanwhile, my fate is bound to his,
I´m living in his bonds;
it never got my turn to ask
who he is, and what he wants.

Those questions two the Old One asked
my troubled soul still taunt;
and still I´m trying to find out
who I am, and what I want.
