~ Poetry by me ~

Raven-Change

Caw caw
I hear your raw
Raucous calling
As I walk

In the twilight of November
Dark wings flapping in the fog
To the fallow fields of yonder
Soaring like a Valkyrie

There I watch you feed on fallen
Things that ended, battle-slain
Corpse of yesterday and ego
Lying low like harvest-grain

By your beak the bones are bared
Truth fleshed out that shall remain
And the life of that which matters
Thus transformed, begins again.
